Connect an AI assistant

Let ChatGPT, Claude or another AI assistant search the W.H.D. research catalog, view published COAs and list your orders. You sign in with your store account and approve access first — the assistant only ever sees your own orders.

Your connection address

Paste this address into your AI assistant when it asks for the MCP server URL.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Open ChatGPT's connector settings and turn on Developer mode (read the risk notice it shows). If you don't see Developer mode, ask your ChatGPT admin to enable it.
  2. Open the new connector dialog.
  3. Enter W.H.D. as the name and paste the connection address above as the URL.
  4. Review the details, tick "I understand and want to continue" (ChatGPT shows this for every custom connector), then press Create.
  5. Press Connect, sign in with your store account and press Approve. Then enable W.H.D. from the chat composer and ask it to search the catalog.

Connect Claude

  1. Open the prefilled connector form — it fills in the name and address for you.
  2. Review the details and press Add.
  3. If the prefilled form doesn't open, go to Claude's Connectors page, choose Add custom connector, name it W.H.D. and paste the connection address above.
  4. Sign in with your store account and press Approve. Then enable the connector from the chat composer and ask Claude to search the catalog.

Connect Claude Code

  1. Run this one-line command in a terminal:
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http vibrant-vials '/mcp'
  1. Start Claude Code and run /mcp to confirm W.H.D. is connected. It will ask you to sign in from that menu.
  2. Ask Claude Code to search the catalog.

Other AI assistants

  1. Open the assistant's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. Create a remote MCP server connection.
  3. Name it W.H.D. and paste the connection address above.
  4. Finish any sign-in or approval prompts.
  5. Enable the connection, then ask the assistant to search the catalog.

Refresh after the store changes

A connected assistant remembers the store's tool list. After the store is updated, refresh the connection to get the latest tools.

  • ChatGPT: open the Plugins page, select W.H.D., scroll to "Information" and press Refresh. ChatGPT can't update an existing connector's address — if it changed, delete the connector and repeat the connect steps with the latest address.
  • Claude: open the Connectors page, select W.H.D. and refresh its tools. Claude can't update an existing connector's address — if it changed, remove the connector and add it again with the latest address.
  • Claude Code: start a new session — it loads the latest tools when it connects. If the address changed, run claude mcp remove vibrant-vials, then run the install command above again.
  • Other assistants: open the MCP server settings, select W.H.D. and refresh the tool list or reconnect. If the address changed, paste the latest one from above.
